Project Description
In the spring 2020 term, I interned with Dr. Hirumi, an Instructional Design and Technology Professor at the University of Central Florida. I was responsible for developing a website for AECT’s Education in the Health Professions–Special Interest Group (EDHP–SIG). The instructional design website is a master’s level study of implementing a waterfall development model to develop products for clients. A waterfall development model is very similar to the ADDIE model because it’s linear and presented in phases. I’ve outlined each project phase in the Instructional Design Internship post.
The instructional design website was developed in WordPress using the Avada theme. Before the website’s development began, we defined the branding elements of the project. Images were chosen, and artwork was developed using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. A custom introduction animation was developed using Slider Revolution. Finally, the website was optimized for speed before launching the final product.
